Gracie is the sole artist behind Gracie Love Makes. Her art making practice shares her skill in a variety of mediums from ceramics to weaving. Gracie focuses on creating work with bright colors and playful patterns that bring her joy so that she can share it with others. She graduated in May of 2013 with a BFA in Studio Arts with a concentration in ceramics from Miami University in Ohio. After graduating Gracie moved to St. Petersburg, Florida to immerse herself in a year-long residency artist residency that allowed her to focus on the development of her functional pottery work. While in Florida, Gracie was awarded a spot as an emerging artist in the Florida Craftart Festival. This opportunity inspired her to return to Pennsylvania and set up her own small batch production studio. During this time, Gracie was fortunate to become a work study at Arrowmont, which opened the door to a variety of mediums and a new found love of Gatlinburg, TN. In 2018, she relocated to Gatlinburg to fill her current role as Supply Store Manager at Arrowmont. Gracie still resides in East Tennessee and can be found working in her home studio from making pottery to weaving on her floor loom.
